The academics at Utah Prep Academy are uniquely structured like no other athletics centered private high school in America. Our hybrid curriculum combines the online availability needed by student-athletes that travel regularly to sports meets with real classroom instruction by certified teachers. The curriculum offered provides core curriculum needed for graduation, a wide variety of electives and the opportunity to enter college with some college credits, a college GE certificate or even an Associate’s Degree.

Forget having students take a bunch of online classes with proctors who just check off their work, but they really don’t learn anything. Our teachers all have Master’s Degrees in the fields they teach and years of experience teaching high school age students. Their educational backgrounds enable them to prepare online curriculum as well as teach it when the students are in the classroom. The curriculum allows advanced students to get more out of their lessons and struggling students to receive real help from a real teacher.

Students can choose the minimal courses needed to graduate in the state of Utah.
Since a certain number of electives are required, students can choose from a wide range of courses that include foreign language (Spanish or German), in depth science, social studies, business, home improvement and more.
Students can be put on a pathway plan that earns them an official CTE Business-Finance-Marketing Certification.
Students can take CE courses (concurrent enrollment) that give them high school and college credit with a D-1 university that is transferable to over 90% of the universities in the United States. One pathway can earn them their GE Certificate for college, whereas a stricter pathway will earn them their Associate’s Degree, giving them the ability to go directly into the major when they get to college.
